While writing the internet pages I used several tools:

For learning the language html and later as a reference manual I used
the html-description SELFHTML by Stefan Münz. (Sorry, the description is in German
language. Unfortunately I don't know of a comparable description in
English language.)

For editing the html-files I used the KDE Advanced
Text Editor. One of its plugins supports the validation of xhtml files.
